After the Rain

I began this painting in Uluru while feeling the ‘heartbeat’ and wisdom of the country I was lucky enough to walk on. It really is a spiritual place, Uluru. After finishing the base layer, I put this paitning away until we arrived into Broome many months later. Here, I was inspired to finish this piece off, and it is truly one from my heart. I call this style 'rain’, expressing the vibrant colours, patterns and energies surrounding me as well as a downpour of subconscious emotion. The move from Uluru was well overdue for me and my salt-water soul. This painting represents the whole journey from Uluru to Broome, in colour, energy, physically and emotionally.
